New Program Makes Plastic Bag Recycling Possible in Orem

The city of Orem, Utah and WM are partnering on a pilot program to try and find a way to recycle plastic film and bags. Residents have been asked to include mail packaging,  grocery bags, food storage bags, and other film plastics in their single-stream collection bins, and WM has installed new technology at its Salt Lake City Material Recycling Facility (MRF) to collect and bale these materials for sale to a manufacturer.
