Innovation in Action: WM Wins Two National Recycling Awards

Waste Management is proud to be recognized nationally for its leadership and impact in recycling, earning two 2025 Recycling Awards from the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). One award honors WM’s Game Changer/Sustainability Partnership with Major League Baseball, a first-of-its-kind collaboration launched on Earth Day 2024. Together, WM and MLB have worked to reduce waste at ballparks and events, recover thousands of tons of materials, and engage fans and teams in recycling success.

WM’s second award recognizes the Nashville Construction and Demolition Recycling Facility as Facility of the Year! Opened in 2024, the facility processes more than 1,200 tons of construction debris per day, recovering metals, wood, and aggregates for reuse.
